Happy Halloween

Crash Mansion, anyone? You should check it out :) 4 awesome bands are playing (3 of which I'm just assuming are awesome because I've never actually heard of them) and I'll be dressed like a pretty kitty.

And if you're staying in tonight, here's a little something for your enjoyment. Trust me, if you're a Twilight fan, or even if you've just seen the trailer, it will make you laugh. And if not, well, then, you can watch this. And if you don't like that either, then, well, you're really boring and have a terrible sense of humor. Sorry. Nothing I can do for you.

I'm Terrible

Corey and me on a walk...hahahaha. I'm so mean.

Office Antics

There are few people that I love more than the girls I work with in the office. From sending me videos of a best man tripping and accidentally shoving the bride into a pool in her wedding dress to scheming up ways to entertain ourselves after work, they keep me entertained throughout the day.

Here is a tiny bit of our conversation from today:

Mandy: I had some Rachel's yogurt today.
Me: Did it taste like Rachel?
Mandy: I don't know. It was pomegranate acai flavored.
Me: I wonder what flavor yogurt Rachel would be?
Mandy: Why don't you ask her?
Me: Hey Rachel, what flavor yogurt are you?
Rachel: What?
*filling Rachel in on conversation*
Rachel: Boysenberry...no, blackberry!

Yes, this is why I love them.

PS Yes, Rachel, you're famous :)

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

This has been a pretty low-key week. Work, time with Rachel, going to 16 handles, more time with Rachel, 3 days without Rachel at work, reading, watching lousy tv shows, applying to jobs and eating out several times. It's been pretty great.

Want to see another great thing? Here it is:

Yes, Pac Man cookies. I'm so going to make some. So cute!

A Conversation About that 70's Show

Jen: I like that guy. What's his name?
Me: Topher Grace.
Jen: That's very close to tofurkey.
Mandy: I think it's short for Christopher.
Jen: Oh.

I love our office :)

Evil Sesame Street

Not the Sesame Street that I grew up with. Maybe if Sesame Street was in the hood? Anyway, this made me laugh.

It's The Little Things in Life

How cute is this? Rachel called me today to tell me about a dog that was wearing tennis shoes and it reminded my coworker Mandy of this! Apparently the pig didn't like to walk in the mud, so they got him some rain boots and he's fine now. This made my day!

The Sweetest Thing

Here's a link I was sent by another colleague today...Cupcakes for a Cause. Enjoy some yummy goodness while giving to charity next week. Now that's delicious. Click here for information on a location near you.

And in other news, I want this!

Yes, I know it's an elephant shirt. But it's absolutely adorable. New York Couture has made me incredibly happy today.

Secondhand Embarrassment and Whatnot

A co-worker of mine sent me some very entertaining links today while we were taking lunch, and I thought I'd share.

If you have a minute or nine, check out this exercise in secondhand embarrassment. Yes, this girl is crazy. And here's what she's so crazy over. I'm a big fan of the Twilight series, but clearly this girl way outranks me.

On a happier (and less harpy-ish) note, here's something else you may enjoy. Beyond cute!

Next Best Thing

I love these! I know, I know, I've done Fred Flare before, but really, who can resist egg molders? I don't even like eggs that much, but I would eat them if they were shaped like hearts and stars, or any other Lucky Charms shape. Get them here.

You Can Still Register To Vote...

I know the New York cutoff for voter registration was supposed to be Monday, but you can still register to vote...in the subway. No, I'm not kidding. There are people at 168th street who are yelling and screaming, "IT WILL ONLY TAKE TWO MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE TO CHANGE THE FUTURE AND TO MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!"

"BE THE CHANGE!!!!"

"IF YOU'RE NOT REGISTERED, YOU DON'T MATTER!"

Ok, so they didn't say that last one, but the yelling was not so friendly. It was, however, effective. I saw several people stopping and filling out papers quickly. I didn't time it, but it looked like it could have been 2 minutes. Maybe 2 1/2. Somewhere around there.

So if you aren't registered to vote, check out a subway station near you.
