When I was about 10 years old, my mother passed
this down to me. Let me tell you, this book is amazing. Not only does it have a ton of kid-friendly recipes, it also has the coolest ideas for turning a meal, or dessert, into a work of art.

Dog Salad - isn't it cute?

Here is my all-time favorite recipe from that book. The castle cake. MMMM. I never tried to make it, for fear that I would mess it up and it would be ugly as sin, but for real, I love this cake. With ice cream cone turrets, chocolate windows and doors, and frosting all over, it's absolutely perfect!
